Special Event: Thomas Arvid

Thomas Arvid, famed painter of wine from Atlanta, Georgia, spoke about his painting process and experiences in building a career in art at a special event and auction held Friday January 28 from 5-8 p.m. to benefit the Sacred Stones of Vina Monastery. The auctioneer was Scott McNall, Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs at CSU Chico. Arvid was in Chico as part of a book signing tour promoting his new book, Redefining the Modern Still Life. Three gift baskets, each containing one bottle of special wine, were auctioned, one from Arvid, one from the Monastery, and one from Avenue 9 Gallery.
