Elizabeth Taft is a native Californian, born in Chico, and raised in Redding before relocating to San Diego where she has lived for the last 35 years. She studied at CSU Chico for two years before completing a BA in Fine Arts and Humanities from San Diego State University. She has also done graduate work at UCSD and SDSU. Elizabeth has taught art in the middle school level for 10 years and has given workshops in watercolor for various groups in California and Colorado. She has received Best of Show Awards at the Chico Art Festival, Crested Butte Art Festival, Escondido Art Association juried show, and the Keystone Colors Art Festival. She has had one-woman shows at such venues as The Two Sisters Gallery, La Jolla, and Aquajita Del Sol Gallery, Sedona.
