Ramona Kennon is a native Californian. Having studied art at Diablo Valley College and San Francisco State Univesity in the early 1970s, she discovered the joy of plein air painting in 1997 under the tutelage of T. M. Nicholas and at the Taos Institute of Art. Her paintings have been exhibited at the Valley Art Gallery, Walnut Creek, Lynn House Gallery, Antioch, and elsewhere. "Light, color, power and sensuality exist in the landscape more provocatively than in any other subject I have explored. Plein air painting is the ultimate expression of those forces."
