Garnetta Finnegan, Provence Hill Town,

Garnetta Finnegan has been working as a serious artist since 1967. Her early years were spent studying privately with several San Francisco bay area artists and later at Chabot College. She is a prolific artist whose prints, oil paintings, and pastels are in many private collections throughout the United States.

"When I paint or draw I feel a close connection to the natural world," Ms. Finnegan writes. "My mid-western farm background gave me a love for the land. The way the light hits a scene creates a certain reality for me. I am in awe of the beauty of landscape and continually sense being in the setting I am painting."

Ms. Finnegan has traveled extensively plein air painting.
