Born in Southern California, Eric Bowman has been calling northern Oregon his home since 1987 when he relocated there to pursue a freelance career in commercial art. Over the years, Eric has moved from regional to national clients working on such accounts as Kellogg's, Nabisco, Nike, Honda, and Time-Life Entertainment, winning Gold awards from the Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles, the Dallas Society of Illustrators, and the National Spectrum Annuals.

In recent years, Bowman has been painting "en plein air" landscapes and figurative work. "While illustration has been an invaluable training ground, nothing can teach you light and color like working directly from nature--that is where my passion now lies."

Eric Bowman's work is in many private collections including the Evergreen Museum in McMinnville, Oregon, the National Basketball Association, Major Lague Baseball, and Alloro Vineyard & Winery, in Yamhill, Oregon.
