SHERYL CUMMINGS

I started making hats in 2001 after visiting a favorite yarn shop in Fort Bragg where I discovered the art of felting. I was hooked immediately on the amazing possibilities of this medium. I was enthralled by the colors, the feel of the fibers and the pleasure of making something unique, comfortable and pretty to wear. I would frequently be so engaged in the creative process that sleep just got in the way and I would find myself saying the knitter's mantra "just one more row" until the sun came up. I perfected a hat design of my own and then went on to other articles of clothing.  I simply could not stop. I have since expanded my line to include wearables from head to toe. Many of my creations are one-of-a-kind pieces.  I hope people will get as much pleasure from wearing my creations as I do from making them.

This lovely pink shawl is worn by Paul Di Pasqua's Mr. Robotico here seen as greeter.

Sheryl models her wares and demonstrated for an audience how to crochet flowers like the one on her pink hat.
